Risk Assessment Method Statement: |
1. Every project has a bespoke Risk Assessment Method Statement (RAMS) - this is a legal document regarding how the project must be undertaken and should be treated as an attachment to the project quotation. |
2. A project specific RAMS shall include the following sections: |
(1). Project outline of parties, location and deliverables (SID). |
(2). Equipment list with HAV details. |
(3). Supplies list with data sheets. |
(4). Consumables list with OHS details. |
(5). Method statement. |
(6). Activity list for risk assessment. |
(7). Quality management statement. |
(8). Health and Safety statement. |
(9). Hand and Arm vibration statement. |
(10). Competence statement. |
(11). Environment statement. |
(12). Waste management statement. |
(13). Monitoring statement. |
(14). Security statement. |
(15). Risk Assessment. |
(16). Control Measure list. |
3. Each project RAMS document is a composite report that references many sub-documents. The RAMS document is not edited, only the sub-documents contained within the RAMS are edited. |
4. Every project RAMS document begins life as a clone of an existing RAMS document with its sub-documents. |
Procedure: |
1. When a new project is initiated, the project outline details are recorded. A task is to clone and edit the Site Initiation Document (SID) with a brief scope of work to be included in the RAMS section 1. |
2. Each project has its own asset list that may be cloned and edited. Assets with a type as "Equipment" shall be included in the RAMS section 2. |
3. Assets with a type as "Supplies" shall be included in the RAMS section 3. Supplies may or may not be billable to the client. |
4. Assets with a type as "Consumables" shall be included in the RAMS section 4. Every project includes PPE and signage as consumables that must be used on-site. |
5. Is the method statement as RAMS section 5 with reference to each work package outcome to be delivered for the client to sign-off. The method statement may include activities that are steps in a work package. |
6. Is the activity statement as RAMS section 6 the expresses the method statement in terms of activities to be undertaken. Every activity is an index to hazards and control methods that must be managed. |
7-14. are common RAMS statements as sections 7 to 14. Each specific topic documented as to how it is managed as a method and a risk. |
15. Begins the risk assessment as section 15 with the ledgend of how risk is measured and minimised using control measures. |
16. The control measures list as section 16 is comprehensive with reference back to activities defined in section 6. Risk management is in compliance with ISO 31000 Risk Management Standard and BS 1192 with a five level risk measurement system. |
RAMS Statement 7: |
1. The project is undertaken with a Total Quality Management (TQM) online service that is complient with ISO 9001 Quality Management Standard. |
2. TQM phases include: |
(1). Define business processes and methods. |
(2). Assign management responsibilities. |
(3). Shared customer focus. |
(4). Management of resources as assets and people. |
(5). Provision of a first-class service. |
(6). Continual monitoring and measuring. |
(7). Customer feedback and satisfaction. |
(8). Continuious improvement. |
