| Broker Procedures: | | Broker state "B5" is assigned when the reponsible broker enters and changes reading/consuption data. This task is only concerned with creating a complete and correct Estimated Annual Consumption (EAQ) for pricing purposes. |
| B5 Reading Data: | | Reading data needs to be entered and maintained for each service. The opening read for any contract is critical data that should not be overlooked. | | The primary purpose of reading date is to calculate the Estimated Annual Consumption (EAQ). Automatic functions are provided to calculate the EAQ from a set of readings. |
| Bill Analysis: | | Task "B5" is not used to historical bill analysis, it is only used for EAQ calculation. While an initial reading is needed when the contract goes live, historical readings are not critical to getting prices. |
| Executive KPI: | | Reading data is measured and reported on a daily and monthly basis to show the completeness of the data. Services without a EAQ is reported as an exception that needs to be entered before rates can be requested. |
| Guide: | | Any number of readings can be added for a service. At least two readings are needed to establish consumption. Press the "consumption" button to cause the reading data to be verified and unit amounts calculated, including the EAQ. | | Each reading after the opening reading can have its consumption units calculated from the previous reading. Each reading gives an estimate of the annual consumption based on a pair of readings, but a full scan of the service is needed to provide a years worth of consuption and a more effective EAQ. |
