5.4 M5 Energy Provider Procedure

Terminology
In some circles the term "supplier" is used to identify the energy provider that pays a commission to the business.   In financial terms "supplier" is an organization that is "paid" by the business, such as a telephone service supplier.

Scope
Energy Provider name and address data is expanded with any number of renewal department details.
Renewal termination details may be provided by service type and electric meter profile - each with a potentially unique email contact address.
Every valid Energy Provider record should have at least one renewal department record.

Procedures
Four alternative means are provided on the brokers dashboard to view energy provider information.
(1) On the broker dashbard menu bar click on Supplier LP... to popup a long page 3522 to search and list energy provider data and their renewal departments.
(2) On the broker dashbard menu bar click on Supplier Hi... to popup a hierarchical page 3502 to search and list energy provider data and their renewal departments.
(3) On the broker dashboard diagram click on Supplier to popup page 3512 to search and list energy provider data and their renewal departments.
(4) On the broker dashboard spread sheet diagram click on Supplier to popup a spead sheet page 3507 to list and filter energy provider data.
Each broker may choose when to use each of these methods to access energy provider details - if one method does not work as expected, the other methods will.

Functions
Standard functions are provided (in three different sets) to support energy provider data.
(1) Search and List are the traditonal function pair used to find any specific energy provider - filters may be applied and will be retained.
(2) Add a new energy provider is a standard data entry form with default field values and where every field is automatically saved as it is entered.
(3) Change an energy provider details is a standard data entry form where every field is automatically saved as it is changed.
(4) Clone an existing energy provider details is a standard data entry form where every field is automatically saved as it is changed.
(5) History of every field value change is shown as a read-only list in reverse chronological order.
Each broker may choose when to use each of these functions to access energy provider details - if one function does not work as expected, the alternative functions will.
