21.06 Expired Information Erasure Service (EIES) |
1. GDPR artical 5(1e) makes it a legal obligation to erase information after it no longer has any purpose - all information must have a published expiry date. |
2. Eliza periodically scans all business data and where a field value has exceeded its expiry date then it is automatically destroyed. |
3. Subjective human decisions are not involved in what to erase and what to keep - everything is driven by the comprehensive data dictionary that specified the life cycle of each and every field value. |
4. Total automation means that the company will always be fully compliant with the law and is never subject to the vagaries of human decision making and forgetfulness. |
5. Expiry durations are published from the data dictionary and that same data is used to drive Eliza to erase the data - foolproof. |
