Economics: |
1. The ASP fully understands that if the Customer can find a comparable Bespoke Application Service from another provider that is cheaper, then the Customer can change providers at the end of each month. Economics hold the ASP to account each and every month to be the least cost provider in the world - the moment the ASP are not the least cost provider, then the Bespoke Application Service will transfer to another provider. A key strength of the ASP is to fully understand the world market, to evaluate and benchmark all potential competitive providers and to maintain a service fee that is viable, reasonable and less than all others. In the event that an alternative provider discovered a way to provide a cheaper service, then the ASP shall either mirror that cheaper way of doing business or not deserve to remain in business. |
2. The ASP competes in a world market where multi-national applications swamp the world with little regard to national boundaries. This means that the ASP must eliminate all local pricing considerations such as local wages and focus on very high levels of automation that totally swamp any national taxation, regulation or cost limitation. |
3. Bespoke Application Service provision can only be professionally deployed by a large team of specialist ITIL engineers. Any company with less than fifty people would have a hard time gathering the diverse set of skills and knowledge that is needed to provide Bespoke Application Services from many data centers. Many companies with more than fifty people would have a hard time cost justifying the very high implementation costs and unknown continual improvement costs. The ASP has an unfair advantage in that each Bespoke Application Service is treated as a marginal contribution to the overall long-term venture. |
