Video-Audio Data Recording: | Everybody should be aware that every business event is very likely to be video and audio recorded and should conduct themselves accordingly. Every business location and place where business is undertaken is very likely to be recorded. | CCTV notices are prominantly provided stating that video and audio recordings are in operation. It is a business policy to expect that every business interaction shall be recorded so it may be audited. It is expected that all people attending a business event will have implemented a recording policy that complies with the Data Protection Act. |
Movie and Music: | Video and Audio includes movies and music data. CCTV may not be an adequate term to fully describe modern methods, systems and application that record video and/or audio. | Video includes electromagnetic frequencies above and below the normal visual spectrum - such as infrared heat detection. Audio includes methods to minimise background noise and to detect breathing patterns. A stop-start movie showing the annual life of plants is used to identify ecological effects caused by the business. The heat video profile for each data center provides aa valuable measurement of energy usage. The sound audio profile for each data center provides aa valuable measurement of air conditioning efficiency. |
Video and Audio Data: | People are informed and advised that all business correspondance and events are likely to be recorded for training, audit, security and operational purposes. This purpose includes prevention of criminal attacks such as burgulary and theft. This purpose includes the physical protection of staff and people in any business location. | All video and audio data is captured and stored in multiple secure physical locations in accordance with European Data Protection Directives. This business data is relevant, adequate, not excessive and cannot be changed in any way and it is automatically destroyed when it is no longer required. |
Control: | The company is responsible for recording video and audio data of all business events - the company is the Data Controller with one executive named as the responsible person. The company is licensed with the UK Information Commissionairs Office for securely storing data that may include video and audio. | No video and/or audio business data is shared or sold to any third party, however law enforcement and legal obligations may cause a copy of certain data to be handed over to law enforcement who is then responsible for the data under the Data Protection Act. |
Purpose: | 1. Where a person is physically located at any time they are in a any business location. This includes the identification of unauthorized criminals trespassing in any business location. | 2. What action people take at any time they are in a any business location. This includes theft, physical attack, damage, destruction and vandelism. | 3. How people communicate with other at any time they are in a any business location. This includes abuse, bullying, intimidation, inappropriate language and threats. |
Playback: | Recordings can only be accessed by authorised people in a secure business location. Video cannot be overlooked by other parties and audio cannot be listended to by other parties. | No video and/or audio business data is available to the public for any reason. |
Access Request: | People who have been recorded may request a copy of their video and/or audio data. A copy shall be provided within 40 days in return for a ten pounds fee payable as cash in advance. The person requesting a copy of their data must provide a photograph so they can be recognized and they must provide a description of the clothing they were wearing for a specific date and time. A person requesting a copy of their data will not normally be provided with data relating to any other person who was recorded at the same time - this may involve manual editing of such copies. |
