Daily Activity Briefing (DAB):
0. All personnel are to be given a Daily Activity Briefing by the Site Manager before they may enter any client construction area.
1. Every day, one or more DAB documents are created and assigned to one or more people - trades people are assigned to a DAB for the day.
2. Every trades person who is assigned to a DAB must register their attendance to the briefing by entering the daily DAB reference number for that day.
3. Management can see a simple list of all trades people who have clocked in and are on site and who is assigned to which activity.
4. Factors:
(1). Zero, one or many DAB may be created each day.
(2). One or many People may be assigned to each DAB.
(3). An unknowable unique DAB reference number is told to each person at each DAB briefing and the person must record that DAB reference number to acknowledge their attendance at the DAB briefing.
(4). Project information is stored once and reused as B21.
(5). DAB data is verifiably immutable - it cannot be changed or corected after the briefing.
5. Automatic checks are done to verify that each person assigned to a DAB has signed the applicable RAMS involved with the DAB.
6. Automatic checks are done to verify that each person who has clocked in and is on site has been assigned to a DAB.
7. Provision exists for each person to view their DAB on their phone and may view the DAB in their preferred language.
8. A template form in any language can be provided and viewed by people as requested. Key data values may be viewed in alternative languages.
Glossary:
DAB object glyph is "B23".
DAB page range is "4230 to 4239".
Clone:
1. Experience has shown that "Clone" is more productive than "New" because many words are similar from day to day.
2. Not all people have the experience to use "Clone" and remember to change and verify each and every field, so "New" will be used until they have gained experience.
3. Note: automatic unique DAB reference number is assigned for both New and Clone functions.
Hazards:
1. Experience has shown that hazards can be selected from a predefined list to minimise data entry time and improve productivity.
