15.19. Task Management Service:
1. Task management is a fundamental part of every Bespoke Application Service and a critical evidence of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS).
2. A task is an elementary unit of work that is triggered by an event in time and has a defined duration.
3. A task is a unit of work that may trigger other task events or/and schedule other task events.
4. Every health and safety induction, time sheet and daily check list is a task as immutable evidence of who did what and when.
5. Contract hire includes on-hire and off-hire events with regular payment events as scheduled tasks .

2. Glossary of Terms:
Task means a unit of work that is measurable with an outcome.
Event means a point in time when a task began or is scheduled to begin.
Invoice is a special kind of task that is associated with one or more jobs.
Time Task is a special kind of daily task that includes clock in time, clock out time, billable hours, rate per hour and amount per day.
Weekly Time sheet is a special report that collates a weeks worth of time tasks.
VAT Report is a special report that collates a quarters worth of invoices and expenses.

3. Task Data:
1. Date: (implied).
2. Subject: text shown in diary.
3. Description: text as job or invoice line. Time: clock in time, clock out time, billable hours, rate per hour, amount per day.
4. Mileage: (or invoice) integer.
5. Amount: decimal.
6. Task Type (list): Note, Job, Subsistence, Meal (receipt), Fuel (receipt), Supplies (receipt), Internet (receipt), General.

4. Invoice Data: (expended kind of task)
1. Date: (invoiced).
2. Subject: text shown in diary.
3. Description: text as invoice header.
4. Invoice: integer.
5. Amount: decimal paid into bank.
6. Status (list): Invoiced plus VAT, Invoiced no VAT, Paid.

4. Task Types:
1. Job means a billable amount as hours times rate with an assigned invoice number. Invoice identifies if the job has VAT added, not the task.
2. Subsistence means an HMRC allowable allowance for food and drink during the working day when not at the normal place of work.
3. Meal means a receipt with VAT number for a reasonable meal when not at the normal place of work.
4. Fuel means a receipt with VAT number.
5. Supplies means a receipt with VAT number. Supplies with an invoice number are billable to the customer.
6. Internet means a receipt with VAT number for any phone or electronic communication cost.
7. General means an operating cost like bank charge without VAT.

5. Considerations:
1. Task place of work has been avoided and may be included in the description.
2. Task event code has been avoided with an adequate list of task types - simplified.
3. Every task has a unique key that enables multiple tasks (and invoices) to be added for the same date.
