1.2.15. Mission is Any Number Of Users: | Customer demands that any authorized staff are granted the right to access their data. Authorized users may include staff, contractors, special customers, supply chain companies and even prospects. Open and transparent method of working is involving people from many companies to partisipate in a venture with shared access to certain data. |
Business Requirement: | The number one business requirement is for Authorized Users to be able to sign-in and access business data. When a person is not able to sign-in for any reason, then the number one business requirement becomes Authorized User data access. |
5. Authorized Users: | Application services are designed to support any number of authorized users. A policy is NOT to cause application services to be limited by licensing according to the number of users. A business can loose productivity by avoiding license fees for certain low-usage users - this is counter-effective. A business can try to share user licenses for certain low-usage users - this is counter-effective. | The only effecive arrangement is to support any number of users. This means that every user has a unique sign-in profile that can correctly monitor their data access in conformance with data protection directives. Passwords must never be disclosed or shared - pretending to be another person is identity theft. |
Multiple Roles: | Each authorized user is assigned a role that implies their data and functional access rights. The first part of the role defines specific data access rights and the second part defines specific functional access rights. |
Multiple Sign In: | Sign in authentication is supported in such a way that the same user may sign in to multiple devices at the same time. A user with a computer, tablet and smart phone may sign in to all devices at the same time. Navigation between web pages is managed in such a way that what happens on one device is not impacted upon any other device that is used at the same time. |
