Personnel Director
While ITIL do not classify Personnel (HR) Management as a service; we choose to view it of strategic importance to our business.
Our Personnel Director is strategically responsible for recruiting new people and terminating contracts with people who leave.
One critical factor is that our Foundation of independent companies that work in cooperation means that nobody is actually hired and put on the payrole and nobody is ever fired.
The intensly confidential nature of the work we undertake demands that we onl work with companis who have the highest moral standings with integrity.

Database
The most secret data is that held in the database and belongs to a client.
No one person is granted the right to access any client data in the database.
The DBA will have the right to manage data structures, relationships and functions, but access to client data is excluded.
No backup tapes are involved that could be stolen or lost - all client data is encrypted and replicated to a swarm of data centers.
A DBA and an Architect working together are granted the right to view client data and make emergency changes in the event of logical corruption.

Job Title
Our organization structure means that everybody must be a Director of their own company to partisipate in our projects.
People undertake specific business management roles, such as Personnel Director or Project Manager to get the job done.
Even on-going operational work is treated as a project with a client who pays the right price to get the job done in a cost effective way.
People who come from a company with a traditional command and control hierarchical structure may need to think of our documented job titles as functional roles where one person may undertake more than one functional role at any time.

New Partner
Recruitment can work out very similar to the normal recruitment process, but we are only interested in people who are good enough and deserve to run their own business.
Every assistance is given to get people to start their own company in a similar way to a franchise may operate - revenue garantees are provided to provide a degree of stability against agreed deliverables.
The ITIL infrastructure, ISM security platform, Prince2 project management and Quality Management System will become part of the partners daily work, but only to the extend needed to comply and cooperate.

India
Certain development and maintenance work may be outsources to India, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, China or Singapore.
With each development package is a detailed specification and standards manual that must be correctly used for mpayment to be made.
Work is outsources on a simple cooperative bid method where time to deliver is frequently then key criteria.
When trialing a new developer, the same development may be undertaken by more than one person in parallel so comparative quality, performance and delivery can be made.
Outsourced development work will not identify the client, will not identify the application and will not make available any business data to the developer.

Professional Liability
In accordance with our general and professional liability insurance, we shall NOT be responsible for the delivery of
0. payroll,
1. financial trading software,
2. investment performance software,
3. investment predictive software,
4. structural design software,
5. medical advice software,
6. legal advice software,
7. physical safety software, and
8. physical security software.
All application services shall be bespoke to match each unique clients stated and documented business requirements to be used under the direction of client management.

 
Terminating Partner
From time to time it may be agreed that a partner chooses to no longer work with our Foundation.
The amount of work going to that company may decay as the company chooses to do other things that are not inline with our strategic architecture and portfolio.
Termination is generally the simple acceptance that the work that the Foundation want to be done is not what the company chooses to do.
It could be that the price that can be justified for the work being undertaken is no longer viable and other companies can do a more effective job.
It is not possible that the knowledge of our ITIL can be erased and the terminating partner may wish to replicate some of the good ideas they have picked up from our business.
In the same way as we have learnt from others, we expect people to learn from us and we impose no restrictions or limitation on how they trade in the future.
If a forma partner wishes to compete face-to-face with us, then that will only make us more efficient and more productive in the future.

Security
People working in test and implementation roles work in a test data center that is identical to a production data center, except that the test data is not real.
Nobody involved in transition has any reason to have access to any production data.
Where a data migration project is involved, then one DBA will have a one-time right to convert and upload client data to a production database.
Data ownership is built into the infrastructure in such a way that nobody has the ability to view data that belongs to another branch.
WDID and history audit trails cannot be switch off and will operate in the same way for all transition staff as they do for other users.

Insurance Gamble:
